We are seeking a highly motivated and driven accountant / professional, who is able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with a exceedingly high degree of quality and accuracy.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Minimum 5 years full-cycle accounting experience, with emphasis on detailed billing to clients
  • The ability to understand complex billing structures, with multiple jobs and products
  • Manage, organize, and maintain daily paperwork to prepare invoicing for all clients. Diligent with assigning costs to job numbers
  • Relentless with information gathering to ensure complete packages are processed trough accounting department
  • Coordinating project accounting, tracking revenue, costs, and milestones for larger projects
  • Invoicing of monthly payment applications for all customers and tracking of payment from customers
  • Maintain accounts via Quick Books and balance accounts monthly
  • Support monthly, quarterly and year-end procedures
  • Understand day-to-day operations and assist managers with general daily needs as required
  • Develop strong relationships and promote open lines of communication within various departments
  • Maintain a coherent system of accounts and a supporting the filing system
  • Manage, organize, and update digital project files ensuring accurate maintenance of all current files for all relevant documents
  • Review and identify opportunities for simplification and automation in the current financial processes and systems
  • Facilitate annual reviews or audits with CFO/Controller
  • Perform other duties as required

  • Strong financial, analytics and business acumen skills, with an obsession to seek missing or required information
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement, thriving in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) skills with the ability to effectively articulate conclusions from the analysis conducted, including challenges and opportunities.
  • Positive attitude, good judgment and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and ownership.

Computer and Software:

  • Advanced Quick-Books
  • Advanced MS-office & Excel

Education and Experience:

  • BA degree in business administration with concentration in accounting or finance
  • A CPA designation is an asset or near completion with 3 to 5 years accounting and supervisory experience
  • Construction industry experience is preferred
