Civic Foreman / Foreperson / Estimator : Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Understands that as a supervisor, the foreman is responsible for safety, quality and protecting the environment for the assigned project.
• Experience leading crews to excavate in preparation for development in difficult ground conditions.
• Supervise excavator equipment operators and projects.
• Reads and interprets drawings and specifications to provide clear instructions to the crew and most importantly the clients.
• Maintains daily records including crew required, and equipment time materials receiving, productions and summary of activity on site.
• Works with Operations to plan and ensure materials and resources be expected are in place ahead of work.

Ground X Site Services expects all foremen to be working foreman, as such you will be expected to lead from the front lines which means directing the work and being always with your crew.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a supervisor or construction foreman and or machine operator foreman
• Expert level experience as an excavator, dozer, or grader operator.
• Experience in light and heavy civil construction and earthworks.
• Must be willing and able to obtain CSTS – 09 and OSSA Regional Orientation, Ground Disturbance II, Standard First Aid Level C, H2S Alive and WHMIS.
• Must clear D&A as well Fit Test prior to employment.
• Understands and be prepared to work up to 12-hour day, with flexibility of both night and days shifts.
