Heavy Duty Mechanic - 4x10s

The Heavy-Duty Mechanic will have opportunity to work both in the shop, with a service truck, and at our yards. As a fast-growing business there are always huge opportunities for growth and career development.

We are looking for a Yellow Iron/HydroVac/DumpTruck Heavy Duty Mechanic who will be responsible for working on all our assets for Repair, Maintenance, and Rebuilds. These include but are not limited to Volvo, Cat, Doosan Yellow Iron, R6 Crushers, Screeners, Trash Pumps, Light Towers, Tandem and Tridem Dumps and Hydrovacs and more.

Please note: Hours of Day - 4 x 10's - Thursday , Friday ,Saturday and Sunday.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the maintenance of dump trucks and equipment.
• Inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing all aspects of our fleet.
• Using hand tools and various specialized diagnostic equipment to diagnose, isolate and repair faults.
• Reviewing work orders and discussing work to be performed with the supervisor.
• Testing and adjusting repaired systems to manufacturer's performance specifications.
• Performing scheduled maintenance service.
• Communicating effectively with co-workers, customers and service managers on work needed/performed.
• Reading and interpreting owner/operator/manufacturer operating manuals and service specifications.
• Keeping up to date on technology and upgrading skills as required.
• Responsible for obtaining and maintaining all required certifications related to the trade.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Red seal mechanic (Not Mandatory) Level 1 / Level 2 /Level 3
• Preferred 3 years of experience working with dump trucks or yellow iron
• Must be able to complete repairs in accordance with Ministry of transportation repair requirements.
• Ensure maintenance and repairs are completed in a timely manner.
• Must work in a safe and efficient manner.
• Must be able to work independently and engage in a Team atmosphere.
• Self-motivated, organized with excellent attention to detail.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines.
