Port Mann/Highway 1 Improvement Project

The project included a new Port Mann Bridge, widening of Highway 1, upgrading interchanges and improving access and safety on Highway 1 from the McGill Street interchange in Vancouver to 216th Street in Langley, a distance of approximately 37 kilometres.



The PMH1 project reduced congestion and travel time; improved safety and accessibility; facilitate reliable transit service; expanded networks for HOV, cyclists and pedestrians; and accommodated potential future rapid transit.
